The Drop-In Center, operated by Community Action, Inc., serves as Haverhill's only drop-in day program for the area's homeless and indigent individuals. The Drop-In Center is located at 16 Ashland Street, Haverhill, MA – in the basement of the Universalist Unitarian Church.
Who can use the Drop-In Center?
The people we serve are the aged, indigent, homeless, and those at risk for substance abuse and HIV.
What does the Drop-In Center provide?
The Drop-In Center is a safe haven offering year round day shelter and extensive opportunities for receiving assistance and referrals. Offering:
- Food (The Drop-In Center has a bag lunch on Monday except holidays. A light breakfast is available Monday through Friday, and a full breakfast is served Thursday.)
- Day Shelter (8 am to noon Monday through Friday, except holidays)
- Medical, counseling and referral services
