Community Action. Inc. (CAI) is offering a $1000 Goldman Scholarship to an area resident who is enrolled in a full-time college or other post secondary program. The scholarship is named after Gerald Goldman, the former executive director of CAI who passed away in 1995. Each year Community Action presents three $1000 scholarships in honor of his name.
College students from Haverhill, Amesbury, Newburyport, Salisbury, Groveland, Georgetown, Boxford, Rowley, Newbury, West Newbury, and Merrimac are eligible. Applicants must supply proof of their participation in a full-time college program. In addition they must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or professor.
