Community Action, Inc. Faces Major Funding Cuts - Loss of Key Services
The Obama Administration has proposed devastating cuts and changes to Community Action. Anti-poverty agencies nationwide will be hit hard if these changes go through. More important, critical services for low-income families will be lost.
Heating Assistance Program - Application Notice
The Heating Assistance Program will be accepting applications through April 29th, 2011. Eligible applicants can be reimbursed for heating bills incurred back to November 1st, 2010.

Half of all new babies cry and fuss more than two hours a day. Their prolonged crying may cause great stress - exhaustion, problems breastfeeding, stress, depression and even child abuse. Dr. Harvey Karp, a California pediatrician, has developed techniques for quickly calming fussy babies. David Marley has been trained in the innovative approach and will be providing classes at Northern Essex WIC at Community Action, Inc., 145 Essex St. in Haverhill, MA.
