Adult Basic Education

Beginning & Intermediate (Pre-GED) Literacy

These two classes provide instruction in reading, writing and math. Open to any individual 16 or older seeking to improve academic skills. An assessment test is given to place students.


Time: Monday - Thursday, Mornings
Cost: Free

 

 

Adult Secondary Education (GED Prep)

Participants must be at least 16 years of age and officially withdrawn from school. This class prepares you for your GED exam (to earn your high school equivalency diploma) by concentrating on English grammar, essay writing and math. The GED test is a set of five multiple-choice exams.

GED participants are invited to participate in cap and gown graduation ceremonies at the end of the academic year and those wishing to continue their education can be referred to the Transition College Program at Northern Essex Community College.

 

Time: Monday - Thursday, Mornings

Cost: Free
